Massive release this month, with the completion of the match/replace functionality, a rebrand, UI enhancements, and dependency upgrades. Most features have had changes either visibly or under the hood.
Changes:
- We’ve changed the name from Proximity to Pākiki as people were trying to find Proximity and struggling to find it. Pākiki is the New Zealand Māori word meaning “to repeatedly question”. We thought that was fitting :) A new logo has been made up by our amazing graphics designer to match.
- Improved error handling for out of band interactions.
- Upgraded dependencies.
- Completion of match/replace functionality (Pro only)
- Show the number of Fuzz/inject payloads which will be sent to the target.
- Make intercept bold if requests have been captured and are awaiting release (Linux only)
- Add a tooltip for the archive button (Linux only)
- Add a find button to the inject pane, so you can search for a request to inject payloads into (Linux only)
- Redesign the inject payload selection screen.
- Improve injection error handling.
- Add cloning of inject scans.
- Allow setting the maximum number of connections per target domain.
Known issues:
- Double clicking on a request from the find request dialog sometimes crashes it (Linux)
- Syntax highlighting doesn’t always handle headers well (Linux)
- Sometimes when opening a new project a warning may popup stating that a previous project was found. Click no to not restore it. (Linux)
Current focus:
- Documentation
- Incorporating further user feedback
- Incorporating UI learnings from development of the MacOS version into the Linux/web frontends.
